Party On...

The month of May begins a flurry of celebrations at our house--we have lots of summer birthdays, the holidays (and weddings this year!) that all require parties and fun times together. Here are some pictures from some of those celebrations.

Karen's Birthday--Early May and even though the weather
was still quite cold, we had a good day on my birthday so
we went to a park after watching Seth's ballgame.

Mother seems to be enjoying the summer months and celebrations with us. She is fairly healthy but has ups and downs--some days she is so sad--it's heart wrenching. I always try to be cheerful and hope it helps. One of the things our parents taught their children was how to work hard and be ambitious--no laziness allowed when we were growing up on the farm! So I know it's hard for her to feel like she can't do much. She thinks she's being lazy, but of course she's not! One day she said, "I wish I was ambitious like you." I told her that she is an ambitious person, she just can't do all she used to.
